Join us for the McQuarrie Memorial Museum’s Third Weekend Event, a free monthly program sharing fascinating stories and unique insights into Utah’s history.

This month’s program: Exploring Snow Canyon State Park

Presented by Cheyenne Winchester

Snow Canyon State Park is known for its spectacular red rock scenery, but there is much more to discover throughout the park.

Cheyenne Winchester, a naturalist and educator at Snow Canyon State Park, will explore the different landscapes and natural features found throughout the park. Her presentation will introduce us to fascinating examples of Southern Utah’s natural world, including Utah yucca, wild rhubarb, sandstone potholes, and moqui marbles, along with remnants of the area’s pioneer heritage.

With a passion for connecting people with nature through hands-on learning and exploration, Cheyenne encourages visitors of all ages to develop a greater sense of curiosity and stewardship for the places around them.

Come discover some of the natural and historical treasures found within one of Southern Utah’s most beloved state parks.

• Admission: Free – Open to the public, no registration required.

Our Third Weekend Events run from October through May, bringing together historians, storytellers, and community members for an engaging Saturday morning of history and heritage.
