👒 Daughters of Utah Pioneers Cotton Days Presentation Inspires 800+ Students

Updated: Jul 25

The Daughters of Utah Pioneers Cotton Days presentation brought pioneer history to life for over 800 second graders during this year’s field trips at Veterans Park. Members of the Washington East DUP Camp hosted Station #2, showcasing artifacts and sharing stories while dressed in traditional pioneer attire. Students explored daily tools, kitchen items, and wagons, gaining a deeper appreciation for Utah’s early settlers.

Over the course of four mornings, more than 800 second graders explored the displays, asked questions, and gained a deeper appreciation for our local pioneer heritage. Even Washington City Mayor Kress Staheli stopped by to greet the students and volunteers, showing his support for this meaningful community tradition.

We’re grateful to the DUP Washington East Camp members for their time, enthusiasm, and commitment to preserving history for future generations.
