The McQuarrie Memorial Museum, operated by the Daughters of Utah Pioneers, welcomed more than 8,300 visitors this past year, including guests from 132 states and countries. Over 680 group participants joined docent-led tours, highlighting the museum’s growing role in community education and cultural preservation. Throughout the year, the museum also hosted a range of public programs—from monthly Third Weekend Events to workshops with the Utah Historical Society and Utah State Arts and Humanities. With broader outreach efforts like Now Playing Utah, the museum continues to share pioneer heritage across the state.
Alongside these public efforts, the museum completed necessary repairs to its historic building, including system upgrades and maintenance work that support preservation efforts behind the scenes. Several displays were also updated, including a new exhibit featuring artifacts from the historic St. George Drug Company. These improvements help us better protect and present the artifacts entrusted to our care. As we look ahead to 2025–2026, your support continues to be vital to preserving Southern Utah’s pioneer history for future generations. Download the McQuarrie Memorial Museum Annual Report below:
