Welcome to the February 2026 edition of Muse News, the official McQuarrie Memorial Pioneer Museum newsletter—also known as the DUP Museum or Pioneer Museum.
As February begins, we pause to reflect with gratitude on the courage and strength of the early pioneers who settled this land and built the thriving communities we enjoy today. Their legacy continues through the service, dedication, and generosity of those who support the McQuarrie Memorial Pioneer Museum.
This month, we are especially grateful for the daughters who donated handcrafted items to the Museum Gift Shoppe and for the many docents who generously served. Their efforts help ensure that the stories of Washington County pioneers continue to be shared with visitors of all ages.
February Muse News also includes highlights from a well-attended January Third Weekend Event on the Cotton Mission, along with details about upcoming programs, docent training opportunities, and community partnerships. From presentations on Swiss history in Santa Clara to participation in the nationwide America 250 quilt project, there are many meaningful ways to be involved.
We invite you to download the full February Muse News newsletter below to read all the details, including event information, reminders, and volunteer opportunities.
Thank you for your continued support of the McQuarrie Memorial Pioneer Museum and for helping preserve pioneer history in Southern Utah.
