The April 2026 edition of Muse News from the McQuarrie Memorial Pioneer Museum is now available. As spring arrives in Southern Utah, we are grateful for the beauty of the season and for the continued support of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers, who help preserve and share the history of Washington County.
March Highlights
Our March Third Weekend Event featuring the Utah Old Time Fiddlers was a wonderful success. With standing-room-only attendance, guests enjoyed a lively morning of familiar tunes and memories that brought pioneer-era music to life.
We also extend our thanks to the many Daughters who contributed handmade items to the Gift Shoppe this month.
April Highlights
April is filled with exciting community events and opportunities to connect with local history:
• April 3 – St. George City Office Plaza Opening & Sego Lily Statue Dedication • April 3–4 – St. George Arts Festival • April 10–18 – Washington County Fair • April 17–19 – America250 Founders Festival • April 18 – Third Weekend Event: Victorian Dress presented by Dixie Miller • April 27–May 3 – Cotton Days in Washington City
Get Involved
We are always grateful for those willing to serve. Opportunities are available to assist on the Museum Staff, including secretary and assistant treasurer roles. Donations for the Gift Shoppe—especially red, white, and blue items—are also appreciated as we prepare for summer celebrations.
